Flamingo
Mamiya 645 PL lens set
Rebuilt from a clean set of Mamiya 645 Donor Glass, this set features a new designed 14 blade iris, declicked aperture ring, 114mm front with PL Mount and removable speed booster element. With the speed booster element all lenses are improved by increasing them by 1 stop and 0.7x focal length.
For more information read bellow.
PL Mount
Industry standard PL mount makes it easy to adapt to a variety of cameras.*
*Speed booster element may not fit on all PL Mounts depending on their design. OEM Alexa Mini PL Mount and rear filtration mounts will require the removal of speed booster element to mount properly.
Custom 14 Blade Iris
These lenses have been rebuilt with a custom 14 blade iris allowing for smoother and consistent Bokeh even when stopped down.
Removable Speed Booster
Toolless removable speed booster makes it easy to adjust the lenses for your camera’s needs. While speed boosted the lens has 1 stop of increased light and reduces focal length by 0.7x, thus bringing the image circle from 645 medium format down to 46mm Vista Vision Full Frame.
Multi detailed Lens Caps
Each lens has a multi descriptive lens cap with details for when in use with or without speed booster element.

The original lenses were designed to cover a film area of 6cm x 4.5cm, this means that the lenses all cover the Alexa 65 sensor and the New Arri Alexa 265 sensor as standard. However, rehousing them with the built-in speed booster still allows the lenses to cover 46mm size sensors such as the Red Raptor VV, and Full Frame sensors including LF Open Gate.

I would describe these as a hybrid rehousing, for the front half has a sleeve type housing with added dampeners on the focus ring (that do not affect focusing to affinity) and provide a rigid mounting point for clip on matte boxes. The rear end of the lens has been rebuilt with a new iris, PL Mount, and of course the removable speed booster element. This allows for a affordable but functional lens for cinema use.

*Note the Flamingo set we have here was not rehoused by TLS optics but uses the same lenses as the starting point.
